Stranger Than Fiction

Entwined with You - Sylvia Day Entwined In You continues straight from Reflected In You. The climax from Reflected is brought into center stage this time as Gideon confirms that he has killed for Eva and then we sit through 310 pages of absolutely nothing happening aside from a lot of pet names and love making. Cary fucks up again, Eva's over protective mother fucks up again, Mark and Steve become engaged, Gideon and Eva improve their relationship while pretending they don't have one for the first 2/3 of the book.

I wasn't bothered by the delay of this book, but six months seemed like a rather long wait for a book that has the least plot of a trilogy. See, coming into Entwined In You I was expecting a huge climatic battle only to find out that Sylvia Day has another two books in the works for this series. Seriously? Couldn't she just have wrapped it up in this book? Can she really stretch the plot? It felt stretched thin here.

It's just getting so boring. I was mildly intrigued by the characters in the first two books to the point where I felt rather invested in the series. I was looking forward to the series conclusion in this book, being able to think about what I've read, put the Crossfire TRILOGY away and being able to tell those curious that 'Yes, it was better than 50 Shades, give it a read if you're interested.' I'd still rec this series to people for a light and fluffy read.... you know, something to take to the beach with you, or over a long flight, but I don't really know a lot of people who would want to become invested in a series of erotica that stretches 5 books.

There's no release date for the next books, but when this books release was pushed back, I won't doubt the same thing will happen next time too.
